Time blocking helps you be more realistic about what can be accomplished in a day and structure your day more productively. It enables you to limit distractions, get things done faster, and leaves you less overwhelmed by lengthy to-do lists. Unlike a to-do list, time blocking not only tells you what to do but when to do it.
TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL TIME BLOCKING:
👉🏻Prioritize your task list according to the importance of each task. (You should do the most important block at the beginning of your day when you have the most energy.)
👉🏻Group specific types of tasks in one block.
👉🏻Schedule breaks between each block. (not just lunch)
👉🏻Give yourself a buffer on time and don’t be too rigid on the schedule.
👉🏻Block the lowest priority items at the end of the day.
